Materials-

  • Worsted weight yarn
    • Grey, white and black thread
  • Hook size 3.5mm (E)
  • 6mm Safety eyes or an alternative form of eyes
  • Stitch Marker
  • PolyFill
  • Tapestry Needle
  • Scissors
  • Sewing Pins

  • Rd(s) – Round(s)
  • MR – Magic Ring
  • St(s) – Stitch(es)
  • Sc – Single Crochet
  • Inc – Increase
  • Ch – Chain
  • Sl St – Slip Stitch
  • Dc – Double Crochet
  • FO – Fasten Off
  • FLO – Front Loop Only

Notes-

  • Magic Ring Alternative – chain 2 and single crochet in the second chain from the hook.
  • This will be crocheted in the round
  • If not specified or in (), repeat to the end of the round,
  • Stuff as you go

Snowflake – (make 2)
White-

Rd 1: sc 6 in MR
Rd 2: ch 6 or (alternative turn ch and ch 2), (dc, ch 2) x5, sl st into the fourth ch or alternative turning ch (6dc 12ch)
Rd 3: [(ch 3, sl st in the same dc) x3 all in the same dc st, sl st in the ch 2 space, ch 2, sl st in the ch 2 space] x6, sl st into the ch 2 or alternative turning chain.
FO leaving a tail for sewing and sew each snowflake to the right side of a grey back piece. For the face, place the eyes in the gaps on either side of the center in the dc ch gap.

Back – (make 2)
Grey-

Rd 1: sc 6 in MR
Rd 2: inc (12)
Rd 3: sc, inc (18)
Rd 4: sc 2, inc (24)
Rd 5: sc 3, inc (30)
Rd 6: sc 4, inc (36)
Rd 7: sc around (36)
FO the first back piece and continue on to rd 8 for the second back piece.
Rd 8: (if you are adding a face hold off on this step until the snowflakes are sewn on and the eyes are placed.) Place the wrong sides together and sc around through both pieces to sew them together.
Stuff as you go. (36)
