This lovely little giraffe is part of my series that has been developing without me realizing it! He is a part of the Wizzard Zoo Buddies! Made upon my son’s request!

  • Worsted weight yarn
    • Yellow, brown and cream
  • Hook size 3.5mm (E)
  • 14mm Safety Eyes or an alternative form of eyes
  • Stitch Marker
  • PolyFill
  • Tapestry Needle
  • Scissors
  • Sewing Pins

US Terminology
Abbreviations-

  • Rd(s) – Round(s)
  • MR – Magic Ring
  • Sc – Single Crochet
  • St(s) – Stitch(es)
  • Inc – Increase
  • Dec – Invisible Decrease
    • In front loops only pick up the next two loops, yarn over and pull through twice.
  • FO – Fasten Off
  • FLO – Front Loop Only

Notes-

  • Magic Ring Alternative – chain 2 and single crochet in the second chain from the hook
  • This will be crocheted in the round.
  • If not specified or in (), repeat to the end of the round.
  • Stuff as you go.

Rds 4-6: sc around (18) (3 rounds)

Change to Yellow
Rds 9-16: sc around (9) (8 rounds) Stuff hand well and the arm loosely.
Rd 17: fold in half and sc through both sides 4 times.
FO with short tail.

Rds 11-19: sc around (12) (9 rounds). Stuff the foot well and the leg loosely.
Rd 20: fold in half and sc through both sides 6 times
FO, leaving an end for sewing. Attach by lining the legs up and start in the middle hole at the bottom, going out on either side of the body.

Yellow-

Attach yarn to the middle of the back between rds 7 and 8, ch 5, sc in the 2nd ch from the hook, sc 3 to the end of the ch and sl st to the body.
FO and sew in ends.
Brown
Use 5, 4-inch strands and attach like a tassel to the tip of the tail. Trim as desired.
