Watermelon is one of my favorite fruits of all time! I’ve seen so many of these on the internet, I decided I had to make my own! I have wanted to make one of these for so long! This crochet pattern for a Slice of Watermelon is an easy, quick little yummy to make. This pattern for the slice of watermelon, can be made bigger or smaller depending on the size of hook and yarn you use to crochet it up. This is a crocheted slice of watermelon that you can enjoy all year long!

Materials-

  • Worsted weight yarn
    • Pink, green, white, and black Size- 4” L, 1 ½” T
  • Hook size 3.5mm (E)
  • 7mm Safety Eyes, or an alternative form of eyes
  • Stitch Marker
  • PolyFill
  • Tapestry Needle
  • Scissors
  • Sewing Pins

US Terminology
Abbreviations-

  • Rd(s)- Round(s)
  • MR- Magic Ring
  • Sc- Single Crochet
  • St(s)- Slip Stitch(s)
  • Inc- Increase
  • Dec- Invisible Decrease
    • In front loops only, pick up the next two loops, yarn over and pull through twice.
  • BLO- Back Loop Only
  • FO- Fasten Off

Notes-

  • Magic Ring Alternative – chain 2 and single crochet in the second chain from the hook.
  • This will be crocheted in the round.
  • If not specified or in (), repeat to the end of the round.
  • Stuff as you go.

Pink-

Rd 1: sc 6 in MR
Rd 2: inc (12)
Rd 3: sc, inc (18)
Rd 4: sc, inc, sc (24)
Rd 5: 3 sc, inc (30)
Rd 6: 2 sc, inc, 2 sc (36)
Rd 7: 5 sc, inc (42)
Rd 8: 3 sc, inc, 3 sc (48)
Change to white
Rd 9: sc around. (48) Insert eyes between rds 6 and 7, 6 sts apart
Change to green
Rd 10: sc around (48)
Rd 11: BLO sc around (48)
Fold in half and sew closed. After you sew it halfway stuff it and finish sewing! Weave in the ends.

Sew seeds randomly. I used half of a black strand.
