This is such a sweet little heart plush! Who doesn’t want a heart plush for a valentine’s decoration! I actually got a part of the pattern while I was working on my turkey! Multiple patterns from one!

Materials-

  • Worsted weight yarn
    • Red and black thread
  • Hook size 3.5mm (E)
  • Optional: 10mm Safety Eyes, or an alternative form of eyes
  • Stitch Marker
  • PolyFill
  • Tapestry Needle
  • Scissors
  • Sewing Pins

US Abbreviations-

  • Rd(s)- Round(s)
  • MR- Magic Ring
  • Sc- Single Crochet
  • St(s)- Stitch(s)
  • Inc- Increase
  • Dec- Invisible Decrease
    • In front loops only pick up the next two loops, yarn over, and pull through twice.
  • FO- Fasten Off
  • FLO- Front Loop Only

Notes-

  • Magic Ring Alternative- chain 2 and single crochet in the second chain from the hook.
  • This will be crocheted in the round.
  • If not specified or in () repeat to the end of the round.
  • Stuff as you go.

Heart (make 2)-

Rd 1: sc 6 in MR

Rd 2: inc (12)

Rd 3: sc, inc (18)

Rd 4: sc 2, inc (24)

Rds 5-8: sc around (24) (4 rounds)

With the first piece FO, with the second piece, prepare to connect the two pieces together.

Line up the two pieces

Rd 9: sc in the first piece, place your st marker and sc around. Sc in the second piece next to the last st and around. (48)

Rds 10-14: sc around (48) (5 rounds)

Rd 15: (sc 4, dec) x8 (40)

Rds 16-17: sc around (40) (2 rounds)

Rd 18: sc 3, dec (32)

Rds 19-20: sc around (32) (2 rounds). Insert the eyes between rds 14 and 15, 7 sts apart, making sure they are centered.

Optional ^

Rd 21: sc 2, dec (24)

Rds 22-23: sc around (24) (2 rounds)

Rd 24: sc, dec (16)

Rds 25-26: sc around (16) (2 rounds)

Rd 27: sc 2, dec (12)

Rd 28: sc around (12). Stuff the heart.

Rd 29: dec (6)

FO and close the opening by sewing it closed through FLO and sew in the ends.

Optional- Add the mouth 2 rds below the eyes. To get the tuft of hair; when sewing the gaps between the bumps of the heart start and end at the front with the ends tied, trimmed, and separated to get a tuft of hair!
