This little cutie is a Lunar New Year Dragon and is excited to celebrate with you. The name Tianlong means Celestial Dragon! This lovely dragon is certainly a majestic friend!
Hello friends and welcome to the Celestial Lunar New Year CAL! Let’s move on to Part 4! I hope you are excited to continue working on Tianlong Lunar Dragon! He is such an amazing dragon! My son even said that he is perfect! Haha! He is 6 and I was so surprised that he said that! So needless to say this amigurumi dragon is perfect! My testers have really enjoyed working on the crochet dragon and love him! You are going to love the fact that there is no sewing involved in this perfect crochet dragon. I am so glad that we will all be able to work on this crochet dragon together in a crochet along! I hope you are excited for this Lunar New Year crochet along like I am!

- Worsted weight yarn

- Hook size 3.5mm (E)
- 14mm Safety Eyes, or an alternative form of eyes
- Stitch Marker
- PolyFill
- Tapestry Needle
- Scissors

Notes –
- Magic Ring Alternative – chain 2 and single crochet in the second chain from the hook.
- This will be crocheted in the round.
- If not specified or in (), repeat to the end of the round.
- Stuff as you go.
- With all Short Rounds, make sure you turn without a ch so the working yarn is in the back.

Any Spike Triangle Things –
Yellow
In the next couple steps, you will be doing a specified number of chs, sts down the ch, and the last ch will be done as a sort of surface st. For the st you will do whatever prep before the first yo, insert through the last ch, pull through, from here on out each of the yo, pull through all first will be done by inserting your hook in the next st of the body, then you will yo. and pull through. You will do that for each yo that is necessary for that st.
Tail Fin –
Yellow

On the right side of the tail, working upward, working over a st on rd 141 sss, ch 7, sl st in the 2nd ch from the hook, sc, hdc, dc, htc, tc (a surface st), sc 3 up the spike just made, ch 4 to make the next spike, sl st in the 2nd ch from hook, (down the ch and sc) sc, hdc, dc, htc, tc, sc 3 up the spike just made, do (4 qc, mp, 4 qc) in the closed whole with your hook going in from the right for the first 4 qc and the last 4 going in through the left, *sc 3 up the spike just made, ch 4 to make the next spike, sl st in the 2nd ch from hook, (down the ch and sc) sc, hdc, dc, htc, tc, repeat from the * again.
FO and weave in ends.
Back Spikes –
Yellow

Starting over rd 12 between the horn and working towards the tail, sss, ch 7, sl st in the 2nd ch from the hook, sc, hdc, dc, htc, tc, ch 7 sc in the 2nd ch from the hook, hdc, dc, htc, tc, qc, *ch 6, sc in the 2nd ch from the hook, hdc, dc, htc, tc, repeat from the * again, ch 5, sc in the 2nd ch from the hook, hdc, dc, tc, ch 4, sc in the snd ch from the hook, hdc, dc, ch 3, sc in the 2nd ch from the hook, dc, sss 2, continue to do the ch 3 and sss all along the body until the tail, then switch to ch 2, sc in the 2nd ch from the hook, sss 2 until the final short rd at the tip of the tail ending with a spike bump.
FO and weave in ends.
